Robyn Freeburg

Robyn Freeburg joins us from the Sports & Leisure Division, Sodexo Live! unit at the University of Michigan.  She held that position as unit controller for 7 years. She was part of the transition team when Sodexo purchased Centerplate and S&L units were brought over to a new accounting system.  She assisted in capital asset transitions, staff retention and HR, plus monthly transfers between the two vastly different systems.  Prior to joining the Sports & Leisure division she held multi-unit controller positions with the Healthcare Division and School Services Division. Robyn started her career journey with Sodexo where it all started…with Marriott Mgmt Service. She became part of the transition to Sodexho Marriott, then Sodexho Services and now Sodexo Inc.  As she likes to say, her resume looks like War & Peace but never left the company! During her career she has held many positions starting with the bookkeeper position at Michigan Bell HQ with Marriott and moving to the Catering Director with Sodexho Marriott at Blue Cross Blue Shield HQ in Detroit.

When the position of Exec Admin became open in School Services, she jumped at the chance to learn about another division and business.  She spent 20 years in School Services and opened just about every new school district in Michigan for Sodexo during her tenure!

Currently, she has enjoyed many aspects of being in Sports & Leisure – starting at unit controller and moving into training others to all aspects of HR duties plus running a cash room during football season generating over $650,000.00 in cash deposits from each game.

She is looking forward and excited to be coming full circle in her career and joining the team at TXCO in Corporate Services. Having the opportunities that Sodexo gives her, enables her to grow and learn different types of businesses.

Michelle Edmond

Chief Engagement Officer - Regional

Michelle Edmond knows that food is such an important part of our existence because it brings people together and is important in relationships. This was enough for her to want to pursue some aspect of food on a professional level. She worked for the casual dining guru and co-founder of Chili’s, Larry Levine and served as General Manager for a concept based out of California, JoJo’s and Coco’s. Opening the School Nutrition Program for ARAMARK in Newark, New Jersey as a Director proved to be challenging, enlightening and the experience of a lifetime. She learned that a pie means pizza, in the East they use the words stuffing and dressing interchangeably, and no one knew what Frito Pie was. The operational experience prepared her for Human Resources because those transferable skills; problem solving, flexibility, diligence and the importance of being customer centric all are a part of People Operations.
